I know... I know. You think it's a little hoaky.

I wrote it down -- then realized there was
    a similar title.

The reason for my question is because I'm doing market research.

The responses I get from visitors like
you will help me better understand what practical information I can give my students.

Consulting the forums and discussion groups allows me to see your wants and needs of those who want to learn better and
    no-nonsense videography.

The more detailed responses you give me the better I can serve my students.

    Your input is appreciated.

    Thanks for the help. smile

Do I get an A for answering your question?
I want to be a better videographer. I want to be a better director.

I think a website on film and video production can be better by consentrating on film and video production only. Many sites do the opposite and confuse and anger people that want film and video by offering subjects these people don't want. This is an excellent example of what a site should be like.

After everything I have read and having studied at college myself for tv production ,I think the area that is lacking is the simplicity of putting shots together. Yeah, yeah they tell you which shots dont look good together ,jump cuts ,similiar angles and same size shots etc,but they sort of leave it up to you to find the right shots and the best place to cut. I know this is where experience comes in but it would be much faster not to learn the hard way and to take somebodies elses knowledge first. So a wabsite with this sort of info would be great. Incidently after looking in many bookstores and spending hours upon hours in libraries I did eventually find an indespensible book written for BBC camera men and engineers which gives great guidelines. Thanks for listening
